Robotics is a growing industry in the United States that has a wide variety of application areas and an ability to inspire technology education. The first annual National Robotics Week is April 10th to 18th this year: it recognizes robotics technology as a pillar of 21st century American innovation. The main purposes of National Robotics Week are (a) to educate the public about how robotics in the US impacts society now and in the future and (b) to inspire students to pursue careers in robotics and other related fields. To celebrate National Robotics Week, we are featuring some female professors and graduate students in the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon.
