Image Understanding tesearch at CMU addresses a broad spectrum of issues, from applications of machine vision to the development of new sensors and basic vision science. The focal areas of our research include: Vision for Site Modeling Physics-Based Vision Parallel Vision Sensor Development Vision for Object Recognition and Manipulation Vision for Robot Vehicles
