Conference Paper, Proceedings of IVHS America 3rd Annual Meeting, pp. 569 - 575, April, 1993
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to review some of the progress in the field of vision-based driving and assess the prospects for the future. There has been, and continues to be, a great deal of research in this field. Much of the funding in this country has been provided by the DARPA Image Understanding (IU) program, the Autonomous Land Vehicle (ALV) project, and the current Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) program.
Notes
Funding for the UGV program also has come from the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Army Laboratory Command.
