The Allegheny Conference’s Sunday morning television program, “Our Region’s Business” on WPXI featured the Quality of Life Technology Center in its May 5 episode. Host Bill Flanigan visited the University of Pittsburgh lab in Bakery Square and interviewed Dan Siewiorek, QoLT Center director and professor of electrical and computer engineering and computer science, and Rory Cooper, the center’s co-director, a Pitt professor and an adjunct faculty member of the Robotics Institute.

The Quality of Life Technology Center, a National Science Foundation engineering research center, is operated by Carnegie Mellon and Pitt. The center is focused on the development of intelligent systems that improve quality of life for everyone while enabling older adults and people with disabilities.
