Spielberg Will Direct Daniel Wilson’s “Robopocalypse”

DreamWorks has announced that Steven Spielberg will direct “Robopocalypse,” a movie about a robot uprising based on an upcoming novel by Daniel H. Wilson, who earned his PhD from the Robotics Institute in 2005. Doubbeday is scheduled to publish the book in June 2011. Principal photography on the movie is slated to begin in January 2012 and Disney’s Touchstone plans to release it in 2013. Follow Daniel’s blog.
