“The Robots That Saved Pittsburgh,” an article in the latest issue of Politico magazine, highlights the role of the Robotics Institute in the rebirth of Pittsburgh following the collapse of the steel industry.

Robotics Professor William “Red” Whittaker is a pivotal figure in the report by Glenn Thrush, which also quotes Sanjiv Singh, research professor, and includes nods to such visionaries as Raj Reddy and Angel Jordan. The piece is accompanied by a photo gallery by Mark Petersen and a video.
